SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Hair Masque

Okay, I am in LOVE! I am sworn to the SheaMoisture Moisture Retention Shea Butter shampoo. But I have now found a deep conditioner from the line that I am just in love with.

SheaMoisture

I have since used the SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Hair Masque twice for a deep conditioner. I applied a dollop size amount on each section of freshly washed hair. I then applied heat with my hair therapy wrap for about 30 minutes. Detangling was a breeze with added heat. It softened my hair and made it feel hydrated and strong. Personally for me without using heat the detangling properties are not strong. After rinsing the product out, my hair was soft and very easy to manage. I have found my new deep conditioner. The scent is somewhat fruity hence the name and it lingers softly after being rinsed out. What is great is that I just colored my hair using the SheaMoisture coloring system so this product is perfect for me due to its color protecting abilities.

Verdict ALove it and will purchase it again. Price; 12.99 for a 12oz container.

Have you tried it out yet? Tell me how it works for you!

Eyeko London Mascara

I first was introduced to this product in a previous Birchbox and what a find this was! I didn't always use mascara because my eye lashes are naturally long and curly but at times I wanted a dramatic effect. The only mascara I had in my arsenal was the Maybelline Great Lash, but it didn't give me the effect I wanted. But since receiving this mascara, I am obsessed and it does the trick.

Most mascara tubes have a hard container that serves as the holder for the product and wand instead this mascara has a soft "squeezy" tube which is a cute difference. The brush is curved which makes it easier to hug the lashes with each pass of the brush. Also, the bristles are nicely spread apart to separate each lash and cover each strand perfectly. You can add one or two coats for added drama. The color Black Magic is a carbon black that gives that dark effect of fuller lashes. The formula is infused with keratin and Shea butter to keep lashes strong and well moisturized. The formula is water resistant but easily comes an off with any waterproof makeup remover.

Verdict A+ I will purchase this again. I usually add two coats of mascara and I always get the question if I am wearing fake lashes. I JUST  love it! On the Eyeko site, the full sized is $24 and it is well worth it.

Have you tried Eyeko mascara? What is your favorite?

One Year Post Heat Damage Growth

This post is coming so late! November made a year since my heat damage and when I started my transition to my coiled tresses. I am really proud of my progress and I have relearned my hair (and still learning). I did a length check video and I was surprised to see the growth!

The ABC's of Curly Hair

NaturallyCurly developed another great way of helping curlies take care of their hair. I just LOVE this one. It  reminds me of the ABC's of CPR (I am a Registered Nurse, lol).  No matter how long I have been natural I always need a reminder of what my strands need. Check it out below!!!

Review: Karen's Body Beautiful Luscious Locks Hair Mask

I bought Karen's Body Beautiful Luscious Locks Hair Mask during one of her weekly sales a few months ago and I was really excited to use it due to all the rave reviews. The product claims to be a nutritious conditioning treatment that softens, detangles, and moisturizes. It says it works best for thick kinks, curls or waves, relaxed, color treated or dry hair. The ingredients are all natural which is also a plus.
Source
I used this product after doing my henna treatment due to the drying effect henna creates. I applied a generous amount of conditioner to my hair and I covered it with a  plastic cap. I did an over night deep conditioning treatment even though the instructions said to keep it in for 20 minutes. When I first tried this product a few months, I wasn't impressed. A lot of people raved about it and I was expecting great results. This time around I was crossing my fingers it would work better. The next morning I was expecting a lot of slip to be able to detangle my hair but that didn't happen. BUT after I rinsed my hair, my hair felt luscious! Hence the name. My hair was soft, fluffy and it felt moisturized.

Verdict: B- The main fact that I couldn't detangle my hair upon application or after more than 8 hours of the conditioner in my hair is the reason I am not totally in love with this product. But having really soft and fluffy hair is something that would make me continue using this product.

ANOTHER Natural Hair Monthly Subscription Service?!

Okay, just a few minutes ago I saw a post on someones page for yet ANOTHER monthly subscription service that offers natural hair products.
This company is called TryMyFab.com. It seems very similar to the other subscriptions out there, by providing 4-5 products each month in what they call FabPacks. I just hope they come out with something that makes them stand out from the other subscriptions services
And in no way am I trying to shoot down an entrepreneurs dream of starting a company but when does too much become too much!? For me it feels like overload because even though there seems to be a lot of products out there, there are going to be a lot of repeats in these boxes.
Of course the product junkie in me decided to check out the website and I also signed up to find out when they will start selling subscriptions.
